This interactive, shape-changing display responds to movement detected by surrounding sensors. Stretchy fabric stretches and contracts to form peaks and valleys, creating a dynamic landscape through which marbles of varying sizes and weights can navigate. The 40 × 40 cm structure is primarily made of transparent acrylic glass, with the fabric mounted on solid components attached to motorized sliding potentiometers—devices typically used in music mixers. As participants move around the display, peaks rise and valleys form, guiding the marbles through the terrain. While navigating alone is challenging, working together allows participants to succeed, creating a visual metaphor for collaboration and collective problem-solving.
