As part of the collective Eine Krise bekommen, I developed and implemented the afternoon workshop “Picture this: Kritische Kunsthochschulen” (2022) that explored the frustrations of art students facing discrimination and power imbalances. Together with participants, we examined these issues within structural frameworks, formulated demands for a fairer art school, and left collective traces of critique on the institution’s walls. The workshop was part of the Picture this lecture series, organized by the Equal Opportunities Commission and the AStA of the Muthesius University of Fine Arts (Kiel), which critically engage with anti-racism, decolonialism, and intersectionality in cultural spaces and everyday student life. Throughout the process, we were guided by the questions: “What effect do images have on us?” and “What responsibility do artists and designers bear as a result?”
