This publication documents Lena Knilli’s project series “Zu Tisch!” (since 2015), a participatory installation featuring a table set for six and framed by Knilli’s two monochrome yellow paintings and a series of drawn collages. The works engage in dialogue with the biographical content of the table conversations, where participants from diverse backgrounds discuss topics such as migration, multilingualism, leaving and arriving, school, family, and social engagement across Vienna, Graz, Admont, Braunschweig, and Hannover. “Zu Tisch! Ein Lesebuch für Krisenzeiten” serves as both a catalogue of the installation and a reader of these discussions.
